Lip oil is designed to moisturize and nourish the lips while also adding a glossy shine. It typically comes in a small bottle with a wand applicator or a rollerball, similar to a lip gloss.

The difference between lip oil and traditional lip balm or lip gloss is the formulation. Lip oils are typically formulated with a blend of oils, such as jojoba oil, castor oil, or coconut oil, that are rich in fatty acids and antioxidants, too hydrate and protect the delicate skin of the lips.

In addition to moisturizing the lips, lip oils also contain other beneficial ingredients, such as vitamin E or plant extracts, to soothe and repair the lips. Some lip oils may also have a tint or a subtle shimmer to add a touch of color and shine to the lips.
